All dogs are boarded individually. We do not engage in the dangerous and, frankly, lazy practice of allowing groups of strange dogs to run together in a pack as in so-called “cage free” kennels. Likewise, we do not mix dogs from different households. Multiple dogs from the same household can, of course, be boarded together in a single run provided they have no food fighting tendencies.
Our kennel is relatively small, allowing individual attention to be given to each dog. The kennel is constantly monitored for cleanliness and is disinfected daily. Our kennel is a dynamic place, and most dogs in our care thoroughly enjoy the activity.
We have special boarding accommodations for toy dogs, geriatric dogs, and just-plain-delicate dogs apart from the main kennel. Since our family lives on the premises, we often keep such dogs in our house, walking them several times a day, providing them with a home-like atmosphere. We also offer daily walking service for dogs in the main kennel.
Boarding dogs are required to have current vaccinations including Distemper/Parvo Combination (6-in-1), Rabies, and Bordetella (Kennel Cough). We require the latest Bordetella vaccination to be within 6 months.
Dogs in our care are fed a super premium diet, Eukanuba Premium Performance. There is no additional charge to feed special diets or to administer medications to boarding dogs.
All boarding dogs are bathed before departure. This includes nail trimming, ear cleaning, coat brushing and anal gland expression if needed.
